Together with the Chris King hubs and the Sapim spokes you will have a lot of fun with him.
Rims ENVE M635
The M635 rim is made for the current, versatile mountain bike generation. When climbing, it impresses with massive traction and acceleration and on the downhill with its absolutely precise, controlled handling - in conjunction with strong vibration and shock absorption. With the extra wide hookless rim horns that significantly increase the penetration protection, it generates an uncompromising tire trail interface.
ENVE carbon rims are engineered by ENVE in the US and manufactured to the highest quality standards at the Utah headquarters. Engineers at ENVE have years of experience using carbon in the field of cycling and know what needs to be met by a top product such as these carbon rims. At ENVE, everything is focused on harnessing the benefits of carbon and eliminating its disadvantages. Thus, stiff and extremely light rim were developed in which all fibers can run without interruption, which corresponds to the best possible utilization of the material thicknesses. This principle was perfected in the spoke holes by continuous fiber strands form the mount for the spoke nipples. Aluinserts, as they are common with other carbon rims, can therefore be dispensed with during production. This reduces the weight and at the same time allows much higher spoke tensions which in turn allow the construction of stiffer wheels!
Hubs Chris King ISO 6-hole
CHRIS KING hubs depends on a certain myth. They have been almost unchanged on the market for years and yet they do not belong to the old iron. Thanks to the proven technical interior, continuous development in detail and distinctive look, they have become a cult object.
The unmistakable sound of the freewheel is the hallmark of the rear wheel hub. Described by Chris King himself as "Angry Bee Sound", the sound of the angry bee, which is generated by the 72 grid points of the stainless steel toothed disc. Through this 3-part RingDrive ? system, every step, without a large free travel, immediately converted into propulsion.
Due to the large hub flange of the ISO hubs, shorter spokes can be used for wheel construction. This not only saves weight, but allows a very stable and durable bike.
The heart of the hub are the ball bearings. These are also developed and produced directly by Chris King. Thus, they can be adapted to the specific loads and forces. Due to the multiple seal penetration of water or dirt is almost impossible. Each warehouse is checked before installation by hand for any quality defects and, if necessary, sorted out. The setting of the bearing clearance is very simple and can also be carried out when installed. With the help of the Chris King hub set, which can be purchased optionally, the replacement of the bearings and the maintenance of the hub is a breeze.
Spokes Sapim CX-Ray
Sapim CX-Ray spokes are so-called knife spokes. The middle part is butted during production to 1.5 mm diameter and flat forged in the last step. These processes provide a solidification of the structure and produce extremely durable spokes.
ENVE are convinced of the quality of their products and offer the first-time buyer a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase. You only have to register on their website.
