As the name suggests, this chainring was created in cooperation with Dangerholm and is of course an absolute visual and technical highlight. The DangerDward story is emblematic of all Dangerholm creations, true to the motto: "If you can't find what you're looking for, you'll have to make it yourself". This is how a timelessly beautiful chainring was created, which, among other things, combines design elements from old 5-spoke steel chainrings with the design language of Swabian sports cars.
Dward design
The small brand from the English county of Somerset near the coastal town of Bristol is known for its titanium attachments, which are manufactured with great attention to detail. The engineers at Dward Design also get inspiration for the unusual designs from automobile motorsport, among other things, in order to ensure a perfect balance between durability and low weight. Thanks to the use of titanium as a material, unique shapes and design elements can be realized. In addition, titanium is 3 times more durable than conventional aluminum chainrings.

In order to keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile made up of alternating narrow and wide teeth.
Direct mount assembly
The chainring is mounted directly on the crank arm and replaces the possible previous spider. The result is a clean look that saves weight while providing excellent rigidity.
Note: Cane Creek uses the Sram 3-hole standard as mount for Direct Mount chainrings - but rotated by 180°. So that the bars on the Dward chainring have a visually appealing arrangement, the design was adapted to the eeWings crank and its mount .
