DUKE Rim 29" Fury Jack SLS4 6Ters RR UD-Carbon
Duke has succeeded in making the Fury Jack even better than the SLS2 version. In doing so, they have once again pushed the seemingly technically possible limits. An almost 30 mm wide rim with a weight of only 507 g is a direct challenge to the competition.
How did the French achieve this? They took a closer look at the individual elements of the rim and searched for optimization possibilities. In particular, a new resin was used. This not only made it possible to reduce weight, but also to increase impact resistance. Similar to the SLS2 production process, no post-processing or painting is necessary after production.
The rim flange has a hookless design and is significantly reinforced. This prevents damage in the event of punctures. In addition, the anti-burp technology prevents the tire from slipping or coming off the rim and thus possible air loss.
The rim has a highly asymmetrical rim profile, which enables a more even spoke angle. This optimization of the spoke angle has a number of advantages. The spoke tension on both sides can be better aligned, which is beneficial to the durability of the spokes and the wheel as a whole. The normally direction-dependent lateral stiffness is also adjusted, making the wheel stiffer in itself.
Duke goes its own way with the "6Ters" concept. The cross-section of the rims is different on the front and rear wheels. At the front, the larger inner width provides more grip and stiffness, while at the rear the focus is on impact resistance and comfort.
The SLS4 6Ters RR rim is intended for the rear wheel and is the ideal combination with the VR on the front wheel.
2-year warranty and lifetime crash replacement on UD carbon rims
Duke selects the materials used very carefully in order to offer you the best possible product. Therefore, the quality standards for all products, subcontractors and partners are very strict. Duke guarantees that the rims offered have no hidden defects for a period of two years. However, improper installation or use of the products will invalidate the warranty.
In the event of accidents or heavy falls, violent impacts can damage the rim and make it impossible to use. Duke therefore offers a lifetime crash replacement for its UD carbon rims. In exchange, you will receive a 50% discount on the rim you have purchased.
