The Fury Jack SLS3 6Ters is the flagship of the current enduro series and the preferred choice of Rémy Absalon, the multiple winner of the Mégavalanche downhill race. Compared to the SLS2 version, Duke has managed to improve these rims. In doing so, they have once again pushed the apparently technically possible limits.
How did the French do this? They took a closer look at the individual elements of the rim and looked for optimization options. In addition to small material savings in some places, a new resin was used. This not only made it possible to slim down, but also to increase impact resistance at the same time. Similar to the SLS2 production process, post-processing or painting is not necessary here either.
The rim is provided with an asymmetrical rim profile, which allows a more even angle of the spokes. This optimization of the spoke angle brings with it a multitude of advantages. The tension on both sides can be better balanced, which is beneficial to the durability of the entire impeller. The lateral stiffness, which is normally directional, is also adjusted so that the impeller itself becomes stiffer.
With the "6Ters" concept, Duke goes its own way. The cross-section of the rims is different on the front and rear wheels. At the front, the larger inner width allows for more grip and rigidity, while at the rear, emphasis was placed on impact resistance and comfort.
The SLS3 6Ters 30 rim is intended for the rear wheel and, in combination with the 33 on the front wheel, represents the ideal combination.
3 year guarantee on carbon rims
Duke selects the materials used very carefully in order to be able to offer you the best possible product. However, improper assembly or use of the products will void the warranty.
