With the G 1800, DT SWISS offers extremely robust Gravel wheels with aluminum rims at a low price. Thanks to their inner rim width of a proud 24 millimeters in combination with a tubeless-ready profile, they offer the tires sufficient stability and good shape even at low air pressures. Another positive side effect of the wide rims is increased comfort due to the wider tires. The weight approval of up to 130 kilograms from DT-Swiss speaks for their robustness in off-road use.
DT Swiss 370 hubs
For even greater reliability, the 370 hubs have been upgraded to the DT-SWISS Ratchet System. The built-in Ratchet-LN toothed disc freewheel differs from the proven Ratchet system only in that the sealing ring is seated differently. Due to the larger-area power transmission via an 18-tooth system, the system can transmit significantly larger forces than a pawl freewheel and is less susceptible to wear.
DT Swiss Aero Comp wide straight pull spokes
Thanks to their special manufacturing process, the Aero Comp Wide spokes are extremely robust and durable and can absorb shocks very well. This predestines them for use off the beaten track.
Pro Lock technology
During the Pro Lock process, a patented two-component adhesive is injected into the nipple thread and enables the construction of extremely durable wheels. As soon as the nipples are screwed in, the adhesive is activated and fully hardens at room temperature after approx. 6 - 7 hours. Repeated re-centering is still possible without any problems, although the adhesive strength decreases slightly with each re-centering.
