Support from electric motors has also found its way into the gravel sector. The HGC 1400 Spline wheels are probably one of the most exclusive wheels that you can equip your e-gravel bike with. With its 42 millimeter high carbon rims and a mix of high-quality e-specific components, you can let it run properly off-road with full confidence in the material.
Thanks to their enormous internal width of 24 millimeters, the HCG wheels can accommodate tires up to 69 millimeters wide. This generates more comfort and a better grip. Of course, rims are tubeless-capable, which significantly reduces the risk of punctures. The 42 millimeter high, bulbous rim profile can demonstrate its aerodynamic properties on fast sections.
The reliable DT Swiss 240 Hybrid hub rotates in the center in a modern spline design. Their high rigidity leads to direct and precise steering behavior. The smooth-running and perfectly sealed bearings guarantee a long service life and low maintenance requirements.
The connection between hub and rim is created by DT Swiss Aero Comp Straightpull Hybrid spokes. These have been reinforced, but still offer little resistance to the wind. The internal Pro Lock® Squorx Pro Head® nipples also contribute to the high level of stability. They contain a two-component adhesive, which prevents unintentional loosening after centering.
All of these optimizations allow DT Swiss to increase the maximum system weight to 140 kg. This means that even cyclists can pack a little more on long tours.
