The carbon forge of Darimo, which is located in beautiful Valencia on the east coast of Spain, has been producing some of the lightest carbon parts currently available for XC bikes for some time now. With the Road Ellipse handlebars, the Spaniards are targeting the group of weight fanatics with road bikes, cyclocross bikes or gravel bikes.
The handlebars are available in four different finishes (UD glossy or matt, 3k glossy or matt) and widths of 380 mm, 400 mm, 420 mm or 440 mm, measured from center to center. All widths on offer have a compact reach of 77 mm and a drop of 128 mm. The flattened upper section ensures comfort when the tour or race takes a little longer. Laminated guides on the underside for brake and shift cables help you to mount everything perfectly.
In order to achieve the sensational weights of 122 g/40 cm, 128 g/42 cm and 135 g/44 cm, to pass the standard ISO test for handlebars and to be able to approve the components up to a system weight of 90 kg, Darimo Carbon uses a specially developed lamination process.
The 31.8 mm handlebar clamp is suitable for current oversize stems. Darimo recommends a 4-bolt clamp and tightening it with a maximum of 3.5 Nm. A torque of up to 4 Nm is permitted in the clamping area of the shift/brake levers.
NOTE: The instructions for the product must be observed! Torques must be strictly adhered to. If you do not have the necessary specialist knowledge or tools to install the handlebars correctly, they must be installed by a specialist workshop with the appropriate knowledge.
