The carbon forge of Darimo, which is located in beautiful Valencia on the east coast of Spain, has been producing some of the lightest carbon parts currently available for XC bikes for some time now. With the Ellipse Gravel handlebars, the Spaniards are targeting the group of weight fanatics with gravel bikes. Thanks to the 500 mm width, you have countless options for placing your hand comfortably, mounting accessories such as a light, bell or bike computer and, with a weight of just 190 g, it is pleasingly light on the scales.
The handlebars are available in four different finishes (UD glossy or matt, 3k glossy or matt) and a width of 500 mm, measured from center to center. The Ellipse Gravel handlebars have a compact reach of 77 mm and a drop of 128 mm. The flattened upper section ensures comfort when the tour takes up the whole day. Laminated guides for brake and shift cables on the underside help you to mount everything perfectly.
In order to achieve the sensational weight of 190g/500 mm, to pass the standard ISO test for handlebars and to be able to approve the components up to 90 kg system weight, Darimo Carbon uses a specially developed lamination process and only the highest quality carbon fibers and resins are used. In order to guarantee consistently high quality, all Darimo products are manufactured in Spain.
The 31.8 mm handlebar clamp is suitable for current oversize stems. Darimo recommends a 4-bolt clamp and tightening it with a maximum of 3.5 Nm. A torque of up to 4Nm is permitted in the clamping area of the shift/brake levers.
NOTE: The instructions for the product must be observed! Torques must be strictly adhered to. If you do not have the necessary specialist knowledge or tools to install the handlebars correctly, they must be installed by a specialist workshop with the appropriate knowledge.
