CONTINENTAL tire Pure Contact 28" x 2.20 | 55-622 E-50 | black / reflex

Developed for urban cyclists who want to commute, shop and explore their surroundings safely. The innovative combination of Vectran and PolyX breaker technologies takes puncture protection to a whole new level and is produced more sustainably thanks to rubber from responsible sources and more natural materials. Thanks to the robust 3/180 TPI construction, puncture protection is also ensured. It is approved for e-bikes up to 50 km/h!

Vectran Breaker
Higher puncture resistance and lower weight are the advantages of the Vectran Breaker. Vectran is more cut-resistant than aramid, 5 times more tensile than steel and lighter than a nylon thread, without affecting rolling resistance. This makes it the ideal protective layer for tires. Vectran was developed for airbag systems in the automotive and aerospace industries.

PolyX Breaker
The tire is reinforced with an extremely resistant and close-meshed, cross-woven polyester fiber. This achieves a very high fabric density. This makes the breaker not only resistant to foreign bodies, but also particularly resistant to punctures.

E-50
The tires with the E-50 logo benefit from over 100 years of experience in the development of moped and motorcycle tires. Optimized and recommended for pedelecs up to 50 km/h, they guarantee low rolling resistance and good puncture protection thanks to their particularly high-quality construction. The durability has been specially tested for e-bikes to counteract premature wear caused by the additional drive power. All models fitted with the E-50 logo have the ECE-R 75 test mark, which permits use on fast pedelecs up to 50 km/h.
