The Grand Prix TR was developed for riders looking for a cost-effective tubeless-ready tire that perfectly balances puncture protection and rolling resistance. Whether for training, commuting or long-distance use, the Grand Prix TR is the ideal companion. The newly developed 4-ply carcass construction is largely responsible for its high puncture protection and low weight. Continental's legendary Black Chili compound is used for low rolling resistance and high grip in all conditions.
BlackChili Compound
At Conti, BlackChili means above all that grip, rolling resistance and durability are combined at a level that almost makes you believe in magic. Continental simply uses the very latest and best technologies. The latest polymers, carbon black particles optimized down to the nano range and fillers guarantee the unique performance of the BlackChili compound. It revolutionized the basic conflict between grip and rolling resistance. Approximately 30% more grip and a 26% improvement in rolling resistance compared to the silica compound ensure better performance and safety.
Continental tires consist entirely of this high-quality rubber compound. This means that the tires can be worn down to the carcass without losing the first-class properties of the rubber!

Tubeless Ready (TR)
TR technology is specially designed to adapt tubeless technology to the demands of road cycling. Continental TR tires are easy to mount and reliable in use. The specially developed tubeless foot seals particularly well with the rim well due to its shape and ensures a stable hold of the tire on the rim.
Lazer Grip inspired tread pattern
The tread pattern in the shoulder area of the tire, inspired by Continental's 5000 ST R racing tire, ensures increased cornering grip and also reduces drag.
NOTE: On hookless rims, the tire pressure must not exceed 5 bar (72 PSI). Continental recommends the use of at least 30 ml of suitable tubeless sealant for initial fitting.
