The rear derailleur pulleys from the Danish company CeramicSpeed are the absolute high-end solution for all racers who place the highest value on the lowest friction with the best power transmission. Derailleur pulleys and especially their bearings have to compensate for a great deal of friction. Depending on the gear ratio, they rotate 4 - 5 times faster than the crank and therefore benefit in particular from a low-friction and durable bearing. The combination of aluminum rollers and stainless steel bearings with ceramic balls not only ensures maximum performance, but also achieves a 3 - 5 times longer service life than other systems. The narrow-wide design also has a positive effect on the shifting behavior.
In contrast to the already high-quality standard bearings from Ceramicspeed, the "coated" version has a wafer-thin protective layer applied to the bearing rings. This prevents corrosion and damage and enables a long bearing life.
