The rear derailleur pulleys from the Danish company CeramicSpeed are the absolute high-end solution for all racing cyclists who place the highest value on the lowest friction with the best power transmission.
These cogs and especially their bearings have to compensate for a great deal of friction. Depending on the gear ratio, they rotate 4 - 5 times faster than the crank and therefore benefit in particular from a low-friction and durable bearing. Thanks to their outstanding smooth running, they eliminate the chain being pulled over the derailleur pulleys.

The teeth of the Alpha Disc derailleur pulleys, which sit on an aluminum disc, are made of a durable, fibre-reinforced composite material. This ensures that the chain runs very quietly and smoothly. However, the most important aim of the development work was to avoid contamination in the bearing area. This is exactly what the patent-pending Active Debris Remover (ADR) system does. Directly on the contact surface with the ball bearing, the washer has a lamellar, serrated profile that ejects all contaminants during movement and prevents dirt from penetrating the interior in the first place. In addition, the closed design prevents twigs or small sticks from getting caught in the pulleys and possibly causing damage to the cage.
Ceramicspeed's own high-quality ceramic-stainless steel hybrid ball bearings continue to rotate in the center. These have to compensate for a great deal of friction, as they rotate 4 - 5 times faster than the crank, depending on the gear ratio, and therefore benefit in particular from a low-friction and durable bearing. The Ceramicspeed SpeedBalls are 15% harder than those of the competition and can absorb considerably more forces. They also have an incredibly smooth surface, thereby reducing rolling resistance to a minimum. All these improvements have also increased the service life by a factor of 6.

CeramicSpeed uses only the best materials and the latest technologies in production to ensure the highest possible quality. All products are handmade in Denmark.
No hydraulic presses are used during assembly. Manual assembly eliminates manufacturing tolerances and guarantees a perfect fit every time. So that you really only install the best on your bike!

Maintenance
Ceramicspeed components are high-tech features for your bike. They offer you maximum performance, but also require regular maintenance and care. The oil included in the scope of delivery is used for maintenance and has been specially formulated for these bearings. Lubricants from other manufacturers are not recommended.

A suitable Ceramicspeed OSPW derailleur cage is required to mount the rollers!
