In 1973 Campagnolo introduced the first Super Record groupset - a consistent further development of the Record groupset that set new standards in terms of performance, lightweight construction and exclusivity. More than 50 years later, Campagnolo is continuing this tradition with the Super Record 13 platform and taking it to a new level: as the fastest electronic groupset currently on the market, it not only offers the widest range of gear ratios, but also marks the beginning of a redefinition of the brand identity - developed with the aim of setting a new benchmark in the high-end segment.
In order to be able to precisely control all 26 gears from almost any grip position, Campagnolo has brought back an iconic shifting element in the latest generation of Ergopower shift/brake levers, one that evokes nostalgic emotions and makes the hearts of long-time fans of the traditional Italian brand beat faster – the thumb shifter. In addition to the new thumb switch and the proven control element on the lever, the electronic shift center impresses with an intelligently placed button on the inside of the hoods, which can be freely assigned individual functions. Before the next climb, simply change the data field page on your favorite speedometer or select an encouraging song from the playlist on your smartphone – without taking your hands off the handlebars. In addition, a satellite control connected to the STI unit by cable allows you to place an additional shift point at the rider's preferred location to optimally customize the cockpit to your own needs. The MyCampy 3.0 app is used to program the desired options and the entire shifting logic for a perfectly coordinated setup. Thanks to these technical innovations, Campagnolo has succeeded in striking a balance between tradition and modernity.
Anyone who covers long distances in the saddle quickly realizes how important an ergonomic contact point between hand and cockpit is to prevent discomfort in the hands and wrists. For this reason, Campagnolo has completely redesigned the Ergopower to meet the demands of modern cyclists in terms of comfort, function and handling. To this end, the hydraulic line has been extensively repositioned to create a large, flat contact surface that guarantees a comfortable and stable grip even over long distances. Special attention was also paid to the new design of the brake lever, which is made entirely of carbon and is shaped in such a way that the space under the hand rest is not compromised. Thanks to the optimized pivot point, the lever achieves a powerful, precise braking effect and is noticeably easier and more effective to operate from the hoods.
Like all components of the electronic shifting group, the shift/brake levers are made entirely in Italy - an expression of the highest precision, perfect craftsmanship and uncompromising reliability.
