The carbon wheelset for gravel use combines Campagnolo's technical precision with the ambition to set a new benchmark in the high-end segment, even beyond perfect roads. With the Bora X, Campagnolo has succeeded in seamlessly transferring the racing qualities of the road to the gravel sector. Innovative design and an exclusive manufacturing process give the wheelset its low weight, high torsional rigidity and impressive acceleration. Self-locking nipples are fully integrated into the rim profile, eliminating surfaces exposed to the wind and contributing to clear, aerodynamic lines. The ultra-light rim structure is the result of a special lamination process in which the carbon fibers are only joined at a single point. This creates a high-strength carbon monolith whose material efficiency also increases the agility of the wheelset. The precise weight balance of the valve on the opposite side of the rim ensures balanced concentricity. Campagnolo is also breaking new ground with the hubs: the aluminum constructions are based on the anatomy of joints. The spoke heads sit in a spherical hollow chamber, which allows them to move in a controlled manner under load. This solution prevents permanent material stresses and reduces load peaks so that the force applied is transferred efficiently and harmoniously to the ground. The system is complemented by the iconic G3 spoke system modified for gravel use, which uses a combination of aerodynamic blade spokes and elliptical spokes to achieve an optimum balance between airflow, stiffness and comfort. Center-lock mounts for brake rotors and high-quality ceramic bearings complete the system.
Each wheel is handcrafted by a Campagnolo specialist in Italy and trimmed to perfection using electronically controlled instruments. This process guarantees maximum performance and reliability.
