In 1973 Campagnolo introduced the first Super Record groupset - a consistent further development of the Record groupset that set new standards in terms of performance, lightweight construction and exclusivity. More than 50 years later, Campagnolo continues this tradition with the Super Record 13 platform and takes it to a new level - developed with the aim of setting a new benchmark in the high-end segment.
With ULTRA, Campagnolo presents the latest masterpiece of Italian engineering: a carbon chainring designed for the Super Record 13 crankset that transforms every wattage into propulsion without compromise. At its heart is a highly developed carbon fiber structure that achieves maximum stiffness at an impressively low weight, 35g lighter than the standard version. The carbon base is complemented by a precisely milled toothing made of 7075 aluminium. Each production step is carried out under strictly controlled temperature and pressure parameters, whereby the carbon fibres are perfectly aligned and permanently stabilized. This elaborate process is exemplary of Campagnolo's expertise in working with composite materials and results in a surface quality that is technically brilliant and at the same time impressively underlines the majestic elegance of the Italian set. In contrast to the standard cogwheel made of matt aluminum, the ULTRA chainring does not form a contrast, but rather merges into a new unit with the same iconic carbon structure as the crank.
