The REVIVE is the first and only support on the market that has a patented REVIVE valve. With this, the seat post can be deflated and thus reset in a few seconds. The REVIVE has a very simple hydraulic system based on the principle of an open oil bath. Other supports separate oil and air using a floating piston. The problem with using a floating piston is that it has to be 100% sealed. Otherwise, air will migrate past this piston to the oil side and the seat post will begin to spring when it is extended. In practice, no seal can guarantee a long-term 100% seal and so it happens with many supports that they have to be serviced regularly in order to be vented.
The REVIVE works without this separating piston and thus guarantees defined and easy operation. If air gets into the oil bath, you can ventilate it ultra-quickly and just as easily via the seat post head without having to dismantle the post or the saddle. 4 mm hexagon socket tool or ventilation key (Quick-Reset-Lever) in, turn 30 ° as far as it will go, retract the support and turn the tool back - done.
