The Aimy steerer clamp ring is a small but useful helper. It makes screwing on the bike easier for you in two ways. Basically, Aimy is a stem spacer that clamps around the steerer tube. This solves a well-known problem when screwing in the workshop at home: not enough hands! With the Aimy you no longer have to worry about your fork slipping down when removing the stem.
The second function of Aimy is the possibility of alignment to the stem. Most of us have probably experienced it before. When transporting the bike in the car, the stem and handlebars sometimes have to be dismantled, or there is a fall on the trail and the stem and handlebars are twisted. In both cases you will have to realign your stem. In the rush of events, it's not always that easy. This is where Aimy's clamp slot comes in as a reference. This allows you to straighten your stem exactly again. The prerequisite is, of course, that the clamping slot from Aimy has been aligned with the clamping slot on your stem beforehand.
