Berk Composites is a young company from Slovenia, which is dedicated to individual carbon production with heart, soul and a lot of brainpower. Their saddles in particular stand out due to their individual look and very low weight.
With the Ploh, they are launching a modern road bike saddle with a short saddle length and short saddle nose. The saddle begins to widen relatively far forward (V-shape design) and offers riders with a wider pelvis good support. The top of the saddle slopes very little (flat-flat design) and distributes the seat pressure evenly between the buttocks and pubic bone, which significantly increases comfort on long rides. In addition, the recess in the middle of the saddle reduces pressure on the perineal area. The saddle shell made of Innegra fabric has the necessary flexibility to follow the body's natural movements without wasting energy unnecessarily. It flexes noticeably and thus generates additional comfort. The saddle is covered with a synthetic leather cover so that you can remain stable in your sitting position. Even with the cover, the Ploh only weighs around 100 grams on the scales. This is made possible by the heavy-duty carbon and aramid fibres used in the saddle cover and saddle frame. Thanks to its short shape, the Ploh is also ideal for use on gravel bikes.
