BEAST COMPONENTS was founded in 2016 by students at the lightweight construction department in Dresden. In view of their origins, it was important from the outset to incorporate the latest scientific methods and state-of-the-art technology into the development of their products. The close cooperation with the Institute for Lightweight Construction at the TU Dresden also helps them to achieve this.
BEAST COMPONENTS products are characterized by their combination of lightweight construction, stability and exceptional appearance. But the company founder is also aware of his social responsibility. Instead of relying on mass production in Asia, all components are manufactured by hand under fair conditions and with high quality standards in Europe and meticulously tested in-house. Because the fiber structure of the components is not hidden behind a layer of paint, the high production quality and clean workmanship are obvious.
E-bikes place high demands on carbon components. Rims for mountain bikes with electric drive have to withstand higher loads and more kilometers. HY35 was specially developed to meet these extreme demands. This is ensured by the special geometry and the adapted layer structure of the rim. In addition, 4 millimeter thick rim flanges offer enormous resistance to impact forces. Thanks to the hookless design, it is possible to run large-volume tires with low air pressure.
