Alugear, a company based in the beautiful city of Krakow, 250 km southwest of Warsaw, specializes in the development and manufacture of drivetrain components for bicycles. The entire production cycle - from the initial design to the finished product - is carried out entirely in Poland, guaranteeing consistently high product quality with minimal manufacturing tolerances.
With a clear focus on maximum compatibility, Alugear has developed universal tooth profiles for its chainrings that work smoothly with all common 11-speed and 12-speed chains. In addition, the chainrings can now also be used with SRAM transmission drivetrains.

Narrow Wide
To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth that are precisely matched to the inner and outer dimensions of the chain links. In muddy conditions, chainrings with a narrow-wide tooth profile are also characterized by excellent self-cleaning properties. Dirt and mud are automatically removed when the chain overruns, which significantly reduces friction in the drivetrain and increases efficiency.

Direct Mount
In contrast to conventional systems, where the chainring is attached to the crank with a spider and several bolts, the Direct Mount chainring sits directly on the crank. This design saves weight and at the same time ensures greater rigidity. The direct connection between the chainring and crank improves power transmission, which is particularly noticeable on demanding off-road rides.
