Alugear is based in the beautiful city of Krakow, approx. 250 km south-west of the Polish capital Warsaw. The focus is on the development and production of drive components for bicycles, but the range also includes, for example, Ahead caps.
The entire production cycle, from the initial design to the finished product, is carried out entirely by Alugear in Poland. This is the only way to guarantee consistent product quality with low manufacturing tolerances.
The aero design of the matching Alugear 1-speed chainring for Shimano GRX cranks not only looks good, it also ensures less air turbulence in the crank area. Milled from 7075 T6 aluminium and then anodized, it offers high resistance to all mechanical stresses. The specially optimized tooth profiles ensure smooth and safe chain running with low wear.

To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth. The teeth are also shaped in such a way that the chainring is very good at removing mud itself in muddy conditions. Dirt and mud are therefore effectively removed when the chain runs over and friction in the drivetrain is minimized.

Note: The chainring is not compatible with a Shimano GRX crank arm with Inpeak power meter on the drive side.
