Alugear, a company based in the beautiful city of Krakow, 250 km southwest of Warsaw, specializes in the development and production of drive components for bicycles. The entire production cycle - from the initial design to the finished product - is carried out entirely in Poland, guaranteeing consistently high product quality with minimal manufacturing tolerances.
With a clear focus on maximum compatibility, Alugear has developed universal tooth profiles for its chainrings that work smoothly with all common 11-speed and 12-speed chains. In addition, the chainrings can now also be used with SRAM transmission drivetrains and RED XPLR 13-speed drivetrains.
Narrow Wide
To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth that are precisely matched to the inner and outer dimensions of the chain links. In muddy conditions, chainrings with a narrow-wide tooth profile are also characterized by excellent self-cleaning properties. Dirt and mud are automatically removed when the chain overruns, which significantly reduces friction in the drivetrain and increases efficiency.
Thread mount
The thread-mount attachment of the chainring not only saves weight, the large-area connection with the crank spider also maximizes stiffness and increases measurement accuracy in combination with the SRAM RED XPLR AXS Powermeter Spider.
