ALUGEAR Chainring oval ELM Direct Mount | 1-speed narrow-wide Shimano MTB | Boost

Alugear is based in the beautiful city of Krakow, 250 km southwest of the Polish capital Warsaw. The focus is on the development and production of drive components for bicycles. Alugear realizes the entire production cycle in Poland, from the first draft to the finished product. This is the only way to guarantee consistent product quality with low manufacturing tolerances. The chainring was specially designed for Shimano cranks with replaceable spiders and is one of the lightest on the market.

narrow-wide tooth profile
To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth. The teeth are also shaped in such a way that the chainring is very good at removing mud itself in muddy conditions. Dirt and mud are therefore effectively removed when the chain runs over and friction in the drivetrain is minimized.

Direct mount assembly
The chainring is mounted directly on the crank arm and replaces the possible previous spider. The result is a tidy look that saves weight and offers excellent stiffness at the same time.

Oval shape
The ovalization of the chainring increases performance by varying the drivetrain and optimizing resistance. When pedaling with the legs, the natural strengths and weaknesses are harmonized. This results in better use of the stronger muscle groups and compensates for the weaker muscles in the work stroke (lower stroke).

Boost
Due to the chain lines used, the chainring is suitable for Boost frames with an installation width of 148 mm.
