ALUGEAR chainring oval Aero LK 104 mm | 1-speed narrow-wide MTB Transmission

Alugear is based in the beautiful city of Krakow, approx. 250 km southwest of the Polish capital Warsaw. The focus is on the development and production of drive components for bicycles. The entire production cycle, from the initial design to the finished product, is carried out entirely by Alugear in Poland. This is the only way to guarantee consistent product quality with low manufacturing tolerances. Alugear has developed universal teeth for its chainrings that work smoothly with various 11-speed and 12-speed chains. In addition, the chainrings are now also compatible with SRAM Transmission drivetrains. The flat aero design is perfectly adapted to the shape of the SRAM Quarq XX1 spider.

narrow-wide tooth profile
To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth. The teeth are also shaped so that in muddy conditions the chainring is able to remove the mud itself. Dirt and mud are therefore effectively removed when the chain runs over and friction in the drivetrain is minimized.

Oval shape
Ovalizing the chainring increases performance by varying the drivetrain and optimizing resistance. When pedaling with the legs, the natural strengths and weaknesses are harmonized. This results in better use of the stronger muscle groups and compensates for the weaker muscles in the work stroke (shorter stroke).
