Alugear is based in the beautiful city of Krakow, approx. 250 km south-west of the Polish capital Warsaw. The focus is on the development and production of drive components for bicycles, but the range of products also includes, for example, Ahead caps.
The entire production cycle, from the initial design to the finished product, is carried out entirely by Alugear in Poland. This is the only way to guarantee consistent product quality with low manufacturing tolerances.
The Alugear chainrings are milled from 7075-T6 aluminium and then anodized to make them more resistant to mechanical influences. The flat aero design is perfectly adapted to the shape of SRM Powermeter spiders with 104 millimetre bolt circle. It can also be fitted to other crank spiders with a 104 millimeter bolt circle.

To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth. The teeth are also shaped in such a way that the chainring is very good at removing mud itself in muddy conditions. Dirt and mud are therefore effectively removed when the chain runs over and friction in the drivetrain is minimized.
Oval shape
Ovalizing the chainring increases performance by varying the drivetrain and optimizing resistance. When pedaling with the legs, the natural strengths and weaknesses are harmonized. This results in better use of the stronger muscle groups and compensates for the weaker muscles in the work stroke (shorter stroke).
