AERON 28" Gravel / CX ExtraLite Protect 622x32 - 52C Tube | SV 65 mm

For over 130 years, cyclists have relied on butyl tubes. That could soon be a thing of the past. The manufacturer Aeron is part of this technological leap and supplies high-quality TPU tubes—produced in Austria. Unlike butyl tubes, TPU tubes can be manufactured according to engineers’ specifications with specific attributes required for the respective application. Depending on your needs, the tubes can be produced with multiple layers, with more or less puncture protection, or in a specific color. TPU is generally more resistant to tears, and the plastic tubes are significantly lighter than conventional butyl tubes while offering the same load-bearing capacity. Their smaller pack size also makes them the perfect spare tube for your jersey or saddle bag. Compared to tubeless systems, TPU tubes are easier to install and eliminate the sometimes frustrating struggle with tires that won’t seal.

The Aeron TPU gravel bike tubes offer you a quick and puncture-proof setup. Even with the 31-gram SuperLite Race version, puncture protection remains on par with that of a conventional butyl tube. For enhanced puncture protection with a 61% weight savings compared to a comparable butyl tube, you can install the ExtraLite Protect version. If you want a complete worry-free setup for bikepacking adventures, the UltraProtect version is the right choice for you.

Notes: Aeron TPU tubes are not approved for use with rim brakes. During installation, the tube must not be inflated beyond 0.3 bar (43 PSI).
