The small Actofive brand has its origins in Dresden, the state capital of Saxony. With his passion and curiosity, Simon has been manufacturing high-quality frames on modern CNC machines since 2018. The high demands on aesthetics, technology and perfect function leave no doubt about the finished product. The milling of all components, the anodizing and the final assembly are carried out entirely in Germany. This ensures close quality control at all times in the production process.
When developing this crank, Simon pursued the goal of realizing a stable, light and particularly aesthetic crank made of milled aluminum in a two-piece shell construction. On the one hand, this ensures an ideal flow of forces within the structure and, on the other hand, this design gives the entire ensemble a unique look. The shells of the crank arms, milled from high-strength aluminum, are first anodized and then glued together. The anodized layer protects the crank permanently from oxidation of the metallic surface - inside and outside. Finally, the discreet lasered logos round off the noble CNC masterpiece. From the first draft through all prototypes to the finished component, the Actofive cranks were made in Germany.
With the shaft included in the scope of delivery, the crank fits into almost every MTB frame with BOOST rear triangle. Thanks to the 28.99 mm diameter, you have a variety of bearings available so that you can mount them perfectly in almost any frame. Thanks to the proven SRAM 3-Bolt chainring interface and the integrated puller, you don't need any special tools to assemble or disassemble the crank. The bearing play of the bottom bracket is adjusted with the milled preload ring, which is located on the left crank arm.
The fact that the crank meets the high demands of modern MTB sport was proven in the successful EFBE TRI-TEST.
