Since the guys behind Actofive have a certain soft spot for colors, the move to a strikingly colored version of the crank was almost foreseeable. In order to keep the whole thing a bit exclusive, the colored variants are offered for sale from time to time in strictly limited quantities, depending on your mood. Being quick can be worthwhile in this case, if life is not supposed to be just black and silver.
The small Actofive brand has its origins in Dresden, the state capital of Saxony. With his passion and curiosity, Simon has been manufacturing high-quality frames on modern CNC machines since 2018. The high demands on aesthetics, technology and perfect function leave no doubt about the finished product. The milling of all components, the anodizing and the final assembly are carried out entirely in Germany. This ensures close quality control at all times in the production process.
When developing this crank, Simon pursued the goal of realizing a stable, light and particularly aesthetic crank made of milled aluminum in a two-piece shell construction. On the one hand, this ensures an ideal flow of forces within the structure and, on the other hand, this design gives the entire ensemble a unique look. The shells of the crank arms, milled from high-strength aluminum, are first anodized and then glued together. The anodized layer permanently protects the crank from corrosion of the metallic surface - both inside and outside. Finally, the lasered logos round off the noble CNC masterpiece. From the first draft through all prototypes to the finished component, the Actofive cranks were made entirely in Germany.
