The ABUS Taipan combines lightweight design, reliable protection and a sophisticated ventilation concept to create a gravel helmet for maximum freedom off the beaten track. Generous, strategically placed ventilation openings and floating inner padding work together to provide an effective cooling system. The integrated air channels inside the helmet direct the incoming air evenly around your head, a blessing on long, dusty sections during high-pressure racing phases. Manufactured using the in-mold process, the Taipan firmly bonds a robust polycarbonate outer shell to the shock-absorbing EPS core, ensuring a durable and stable helmet structure. The additional lower edge protection protects the helmet edges from scratches, impacts and wear and tear. Additional stability is provided by the integrated Acti Cage structural reinforcement, which enables larger ventilation openings without compromising the protective effect. For an optimum fit, the helmet can be precisely adjusted to your head circumference using the Zoom Spin adjustment system. Thanks to the integrated plait opening, the helmet sits comfortably and securely even with long hair. The aerodynamically designed flow straps sit quietly on the head, reduce annoying noise and increase comfort even on longer rides. Soft comfort pads nestle comfortably against your head and can be easily removed and washed if necessary. The classic plug-in fastener allows quick and secure handling, even during short stops. Well thought-out details make the Taipan a versatile companion on gravel adventures. There is a defined goggle holder on the front where you can safely stow your goggles. Reflective elements increase your visibility in poor light conditions. An optional magnetic rear light can be attached to the rear, which can be charged via USB-C.
