The Absolute Black Direct Mount Spidering for Cannondale cranks is not only a highlight on every racing bike, the integrated spider also saves the chainring combination a lot of weight compared to conventional double chainrings.
The spidering is CNC machined from a single piece of aluminum 7075, creating the perfect combination of low weight and excellent durability for your bike. The small chainring is fixed to the large chainring with 5 screws. Elaborately milled switching ramps ensure excellent switching performance. Thanks to the milling of a 5 mm thick aluminum plate, the Absolute Black chainrings are among the stiffest on the market. The oval shape smoothes the force peaks during the crank rotation. This gives you a more even kick, especially on the mountain, and the muscles are less tired. The lower force peaks also reduce the strain on the knees.
