With the 5DEV Aero chainring made of high-quality, anodized aluminium, your drivetrain will attract everyone's attention. But since looks aren't everything, the developers have also put a lot of thought into its function. A narrow-wide tooth profile makes the start and keeps your chain reliably in place even in the roughest of situations. Thanks to the closed design, every pedal stroke is converted directly into propulsion thanks to the outstanding stiffness. The shark fin principle of the narrow-wide tooth profile reduces chain noise when using a mullet setup (road bike lever in conjunction with MTB rear derailleur and cassette).
All these features make it an ideal companion on your bike. No matter whether you are riding an extended gravel tour or a fast race.

To keep the chain securely in position even without a chain guide, the teeth have a special profile consisting of alternating narrow and wide teeth.

SRAM 8-hole direct mount
The chainring is mounted directly on the crank arm and replaces the possible previous spider. The result is a tidy look that saves weight and offers excellent stiffness at the same time.

NOTE: Please note that the aero design may not work with T47 bottom brackets and is specifically designed for SRAM DUB bottom bracket shells.
