Sweet Protection – Helmets, Protective Gear & Apparel from Norway

The story of Sweet Protection began in 1986 in Trysil, a small mountain village deep in the Norwegian wilderness—with a group of friends who simply weren’t satisfied with the available gear. Founder Ståle Møller and his crew built their own skateboards, fine-tuned self-designed helmets, and were driven by a simple belief: the existing equipment was holding them back. This led to a mantra that still holds true today: Stronger. Lighter. Better.

From the Garage to the World Stage

Officially founded in 2000, Sweet Protection grew rapidly—through close collaboration with international athletes, a Gore-Tex license from 2004, and entry into the road cycling market in 2017 with the Falconer Helmet. The partnership with Uno-X Mobility Cycling pushed development even further—culminating in the 2025 Tour de France, where Jonas Abrahamsen rode to a historic stage victory wearing the Tucker III 2Vi® Mips Helmet.

Protection for Every Sport – No Compromises

Sweet Protection designs helmets, goggles, protective gear, and apparel for skiing & snowboarding, mountain biking, road cycling, kayaking, and outdoor adventures. Technological highlights like the 2Vi® Helmet Technology Platform and RIG® Lens Technology set new standards in safety and performance—earning numerous ISPO Awards and five-star ratings from the Virginia Tech Helmet Lab. Sweet Protection builds the gear they use themselves and stands behind every product. For all outdoor enthusiasts—from World Cup athletes to weekend warriors.
