    Article details

WOLFTOOTH boom Goatlink for Shimano 11-speed + Shadow derailleurs

Üblicherweiser used Shimano at the 11-speed shifting systems on mountain bike cassette with a gradation of 11-40 or 11-42 teeth. Especially with a 1x11 drive can this offer too little range of gear ratios. To use the consideration a Sram XD cassette with 10-42 teeth
is close. Furthermore, there are also tuning pinion, which extend the Sram cassette up to 44 teeth.
Similarly, there are tuning pinion for Shimano, which extend the cartridge up to 46 teeth. To ensure, as used, optimal switching performance, as well as the rear derailleur must be adjusted.
The Goatlink 11 of Wolftooth positions the derailleur a little further down, so that the chain can adapt perfectly to all of the sprockets. This ensures an optimal shifting precision is assured. With the original boom the B-bolt must be positioned to the rear derailleur to the maximum. Thereby the derailleur is drawing far back and wraps around the sprocket to a lesser extent.
