BERG rim 29" Ratheberg UL 28-hole UD carbon 250g
The founders of the young BERG brand started with a simple mission: They wanted to develop the best possible lightweight products for ambitious MTB marathon and cross-country riders at an affordable price. In order to be prepared for tough racing use, no compromises were made in terms of durability when developing the BERG components. Behind the brand is a small team of committed mountain bikers, engineers and bike mechanics from Belgium.
The Belgians have already broken all records with the Ratheberg SL rim. Now BERG is following up with the 250 gram UL version. The weight reduction of 20 grams was achieved, among other things, by reducing the rim flange diameter by 0.3 millimeters. As a positive side effect, the inner rim width increases to 30.6 millimeters and gives modern cross-country tires a better shape and a more stable fit at low air pressures. This effect is also favored by the low height of the rim flanges, which give the tires even more volume compared to other rims with the same inner width. A reinforced rim base and the asymmetrical cross section ensure the necessary rigidity in the wheel, with which the spoke tensions on both sides can be adjusted. All of these measures enable BERG to release the Ratheberg UL for drivers weighing up to 90 kg. The Ratheberg UL rims have already proven their stability in 2 independent test bench tests and also in racing.
In order to guarantee the safety of your components, all BERG components have undergone extensive tests according to the ISO standard in Germany, in addition to intensive off-road driving. These are also regularly repeated for different product batches during the manufacturing process.
In addition to the 2-year guarantee, BERG offers a 3-year crash replacement with a 40% discount on all components.
