Stefan Schmolke dedicates his life to cycling.
Already as a teen, Stefan Schmolke started being an active racer together with
this brother Matthias. His sporting passion and interest in technical processes
led him to his machine engineering studies at the department of the lightweight
legend Hans Christian Smolik. His diploma thesis "New materials and the theory
of a carbon racing bar" was the basis for the foundation of his company and the
production of the first carbon racing bar in 1992. He deepened his knowledge in
a full time job at EADS and let those skills have an influence on the optimization
of his products.
This constant optimization has been keeping Schmolke carbon bike parts at the
top for over 20 years now. Their
carbon bars and
seat posts for mountain bikes
and road cycles are probably the best components on the market. Schmolke carbon
components are being produced in Konstanz/Germany.
