Carbon parts, such as seatposts, handlebars and stems, require special care when mounting, and the minimum tightening torques of the components mean that the fit must be perfect. It is therefore advisable to always mount these components with suitable assembly pastes. These have special micro-solids that increase the friction between carbon, aluminum, and steel parts. At the same time, the mounting pastes prevent contact bonding and corrosion. A positiv side effect is the elimination of annoying crackling noises.
