Bike Powermeter - Crank Based
Bike Powermeters that have the power sensor (strain gauge) installed directly on the crank are the most proven systems and are often used in the professional sector. These power meters are very accurate, although they only have a measuring system on one side of the crank. However, the power meters are so sophisticated that they can also display (evaluate) the other side via the connection of the crank axle and mathematical functions. The disadvantage is, of course, that it is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to use the power meter on two bikes, e.g. a road bike and a mountain bike.
