The latest generation of proven Zipp 188 rear hub has been completely redesigned. The hub flanges were significantly larger and can accommodate larger Swiss Steel ball bearings, which improves the durability of the hub. Moreover, the suspension of the spokes has been changed. Virtual 3 Trade Lacing called Zipp the new Spoke pattern with despite 2-cross spoke on both sides, the stiffness of a wheel with 3x crossed spokes is achieved. Compared to Vorgängernabe wheels built with the V9 have 25 percent more torsional rigidity. Thus, the force is transmitted directly at sprints and sprints hard to the rim and also the durability of the impeller improves.
Equipped with a 11-speed compatible freehub body the hub with all the current cartridge is compatible. With a spacer, however, they can also be used with 9/10-cassettes. Available is the 188 V9 hub Sram / Shimano or Campagnolo compatible freewheel body. For previous version remained the same is the noble shiny black surface finish with white Zipp logos.
