This wheelset also defies the special loads of an e-bike drive. The indestructible Newmen hubs and the excellently processed DT Swiss rims forgive driving mistakes. The balanced selection of components guarantees you a high level of reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
The Newmen FADE hubs will also find many fans again. Here, too, you do not need to worry about setting the axial bearing play. The durable, double-sealed industrial bearings are pressed in precisely and free of tension at the factory. A high degree of user-friendliness was gained through this further development. You can spend the saved time better on your favorite trail.
The construction of the freewheel is completely different from the previous model. The goal was a low noise level. The result was the FADE pawl system. 3 pawls engage in a new type of tooth profile. To increase durability, the diameter was increased and the individual pawls were made short and wide. This means that the forces generated are distributed over a larger area.
Despite the relatively low weight, no savings were made on safety. It is better to build in a little more material at critical points, like. For example, at the transition between the brake disc and the spoke mount, as risking a defect.
rims
If you want to venture into the unknown with your 29er E-MTB, the HX 531 with its 30 mm mouth width is the perfect choice. Due to the optimal mix of stability, weight and width, it can be driven with many different tire widths and you are therefore very flexible in choosing the intended use of intended use .
Spokes
The Race spoke is the classic from Sapim. It is a round spoke with a butted middle section of 1.8 mm in diameter. This provides more cushioning than non-tapered spokes. It also makes it easier to digest short peak loads. The Race spoke enables very stiff and stable wheels for practically every intended use . The weight including nipple is approx. 6.95g per piece.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are completely assembled by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction process, it is important that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifelong guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this was not caused by force!
