Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the newly launched DT Swiss 240 hubs. These properties were achieved through the Ratchet EXP technology. With this, the hubs not only get by with fewer components and thus lower weight and less wear, it also allows the bearing on the drive side to be placed significantly further out. The larger distance between the bearings results in a higher rigidity of the hub, a lower bearing load and thus greater durability. The stiffness on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Driving and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. Unilateral peak loads are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim. The super reliable toothed disc freewheel system with its large contact surface and 36 locking points ensures extremely direct and reliable power transmission
rims
The carbon rims from Duke from France stand for low weight and excellent workmanship. The hookless construction is ideal for using tubeless systems. The reinforced bead means that any punctures can be better tolerated without causing damage. The fairly flat and wide rims reliably support the tires in every situation, so you don't have a spongy driving experience even with little air pressure.
The asymmetrical shape enables more even spoke tension, which further increases the rigidity of the entire wheel.
Impeller construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction, it is important that not only the concentricity is right, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifetime guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this is not caused by violence!

A spare spoke + nipple in all required spoke lengths to be able to repair the impeller at short notice even after an accident.
A free initial check of the impeller, where the resulting work is completely free! Only shipping costs are charged.
A crash replacement promise. If your wheel is damaged due to force majeure, we will rebuild your wheel once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material!
