With this wheelset, even racers can really let it rip. The indestructible DT Swiss hubs and the superbly crafted MCFK rims are forgiving of the occasional riding error, while the well-balanced selection of components guarantees you high reliability and a long service life.

Hubs
Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the new DT Swiss 240 hubs. These properties have been achieved thanks to Ratchet EXP technology. This not only means that the hubs have fewer components and therefore lower weight and less wear, it also allows the bearing to be positioned much further out on the drive side. The greater distance between the bearings results in greater hub rigidity, lower bearing loads and therefore greater durability. The stiffness on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Drive and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. One-sided load peaks are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim. The super reliable toothed pulley freehub system with its large contact surface and 36 engagement points ensures extremely direct and reliable power transmission.

Rims
The lightweight, stable and beautifully finished carbon rims come from the lightweight construction specialist MCFK. These offer an exclusive and flawless look and demonstrate the Leipzig-based company's many years of experience.MCFK has opted for hookless rim flanges for perfect tubeless compatibility. These have been reinforced without any increase in weight and are much more resistant to punctures. This allows the air pressure to be reduced and the riding characteristics to be improved. Laminated instead of conventionally drilled spoke holes provide extra stability and additional durability. The asymmetrical construction enables a more even spoke tension, which further increases the stiffness of a complete wheel.

Wheel construction at R2-Bike

Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire assembly process, great importance is attached to ensuring that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to offer a lifetime guarantee against spoke breakage as long as it is not caused by force.

The DT Swiss Aerolite has been the first choice of many wheel builders for building high-end wheelsets for years. With its middle section flattened to 0.9 millimeters, the Aerolite cuts particularly well through the air and helps you to save some watts at high speeds. In addition, it is the lightest flat spoke in the DT-Swiss range. The spoke is first butted to a thickness of 1.5 mm in a cold forging process and then flattened in a further process. This complex process further increases the strength and gives the Aerolite its high stability and durability. Thanks to these properties, the bladed spoke can be used on racing bikes or mountain bikes and fits into all hubs with standard bores.
