Sapim places the D-Light between the Laser and the Race. It's not quite as light as the former, but it's almost as durable as the stable Race. This makes it interesting even for BMX riders. The DT Swiss Aerolite has been the first choice of many wheel builders for building high-end wheelsets for years. With its middle section flattened to 0.9 millimeters, the Aerolite cuts particularly well through the air and helps you to save some watts at high speeds. In addition, it is the lightest flat spoke in the DT-Swiss range. The spoke is first butted to a thickness of 1.5 mm in a cold forging process and then flattened in a further process. This complex process further increases the strength and gives the Aerolite its high stability and durability. Thanks to these properties, the bladed spoke can be used on racing bikes or mountain bikes and fits into all hubs with standard bores.
