The combination of DT Swiss aluminum rims and the indestructible Syntace hubs should therefore always be on the shortlist. The balanced selection of components guarantees you a high level of reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
The heart of these wheelsets are the Syntace hubs. These combine the finest turning and milling art, are simple in their optical appearance, but with superior inner values.
The hub body is equipped with stable precision deep groove ball bearings, which have a special grease filling for perfect corrosion protection and outstanding durability. The 17 mm oversize axle ensures maximum rigidity with minimum weight. An additional, double sealing washer in front of the ball bearing prevents the ingress of splash water. The infinitely adjustable MicroAdjust adjustment cap enables quick and easy adjustment of the axial hub play.
rims
DT Swiss has stood for innovative products of the highest quality for years. Starting out as a manufacturer of high-quality spokes, the company continuously expanded its product range. Since 2004, the Swiss have also had rims in their range, which they are constantly improving through feedback from professional cyclists and taking into account new developments in materials and manufacturing. Today DT Swiss rims are among the most driven on the market.
Thanks to extensive FEM analyzes, the aluminum rims only contain as much material as is absolutely necessary at each point. They are connected by the SBWT® welding process. The rim is stabilized with a block during welding and then CNC machined to guarantee a seamless transition.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are completely assembled by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction process, it is important that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifelong guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this was not caused by force!
