With this wheelset you can really let it rip even in difficult terrain. The light NONPLUS Components hubs and the extremely stable Syntace rims forgive a driving error. The balanced selection of components guarantees you a high level of reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
The small forge from Murr in Baden-Württemberg has been manufacturing lightweight yet stable bicycle hubs since 2018. New concepts are constantly being developed and patents registered so that new standards can also be set in the future.
A hub body, made of high-quality, hard-anodized aluminum, rotates around the elaborately sealed industrial deep groove ball bearings. This has a special ventilation system, which prevents the creation of negative pressure due to temperature fluctuations in the hub. As a result, no water is sucked through the ball bearings, which ensures a significantly longer service life and noticeably easier running of the bearings.
Thanks to high-precision manufacturing and perfect quality control, the hubs of the second generation manage without the previously used adjuster for the bearing play. This means that you always have a perfectly adjusted hub with a smooth, easy run.
The unique freewheel mechanism with bevel teeth of the NONPLUS hubs has approx. 400% more contact surface than conventional systems and enables maximum power transmission with minimal wear. The forces are transmitted over a large area instead of selectively. The 45 defined rest points immediately convert your start into propulsion without much idle travel.
rims
The starting shot for wide and at the same time light rims from Syntace was given with the aluminum rims of the W series. In order to be able to reduce the weight even further with the same stability, Syntace allowed the know-how gained from two decades in the construction of carbon parts to flow into the production of a high-end carbon rim. A patent pending reinforcement of the rim flange makes the C33i rim insensitive to punctures and guarantees a long service life. The large inner width of 33 millimeters also offers 2.5 "wide tires very good grip at low air pressures. Thanks to the very low weight of 477 grams for an Enduro 29" rim, you save a lot of grain with the C33i uphill and give it your all downhill can.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are completely assembled by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction process, it is important that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifelong guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this was not caused by force!

A universal impeller bag for all common sizes.
A spare spoke + nipple in all required spoke lengths so that the wheel can be repaired at short notice even after an accident.
A free initial inspection of the impeller, during which the resulting work is completely free! Only shipping costs are charged.
A crash replacement promise. If your wheel is damaged due to force majeure, we will rebuild your wheel once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge the material!
