With this wheelset you can really get it going even in difficult terrain. The indestructible Hope hubs and the extremely stable Syntace rims also forgive a driving mistake. The balanced selection of components guarantees high reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
With the Pro 4 hub, Hope has further improved the already very reliable predecessor model. It has a larger flange diameter and thus enables even stiffer and more durable impellers. Known features, such as the diverse anodized colors, the sealed stainless steel bearings and the replaceable end caps, have remained.
The freewheel teeth of the rear wheel axle now have 44 teeth and thus 10% more locking points than before. This results in an empty travel of just 8.2 ° and converts every start into propulsion. In addition, the 4 pawls withstand even the strongest legs. The freewheel body has also been completely redesigned and now comes with two instead of three bearings. In order to ensure durability, they have been dimensioned larger.
rims
The starting signal for wide and at the same time light rims from Syntace was set with the aluminum rims of the W series. In order to be able to push the weight even further with the same stability, Syntace let the gained know-how of two decades in the construction of carbon parts flow into the production of a high-end carbon rim. A patent-pending reinforcement of the rim flange makes the C33i rim insensitive to punctures and guarantees a long service life. The large inner width of 33 millimeters also offers 2.5 "wide tires with low air pressures very good grip. Thanks to the very light weight of 477 grams for an Enduro 29" rim, you save real grain with the C33i uphill to give everything downhill can.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are completely assembled by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction, it is important that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifelong guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this has not been caused by violence!
