With this wheelset you can really let it crash downhill. The indestructible DT Swiss hubs and the excellently crafted Race Face rims also forgive a driving mistake. The balanced selection of components guarantees high reliability and a long service life.
Hubs
Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the newly launched DT Swiss 240 hubs. These properties were achieved through the Ratchet EXP technology. With this, the hubs not only manage with fewer components and the associated lower weight and less wear, it also allows the bearing to be positioned significantly further out on the drive side. The larger distance between the bearings results in a higher stiffness of the hub, a lower bearing load and thus a higher durability. The rigidity on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Drive and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. One-sided load peaks are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim. The super reliable tooth lock washer freewheel system with its large contact surface and 36 locking points ensures extremely direct and reliable power transmission.
rims
The ARC rim has become one of the favorite rims of wheel builders from all over the world. With the new offset variants, even stiffer and more durable wheels can be built. This is achieved through a more balanced spoke tension between the drive side and the non-drive side.
A specially shaped rim bed with a central recess and minimalistic, short hooks on the rim flange keep the tire securely on the rim in every situation, even at low air pressures. The larger contact area of the tire also significantly improves grip.
The rim is made of forged aluminum 6069, the joint is inserted and is additionally glued in order to increase durability and reduce weight. The black anodized finish saves weight and gives the rims with their vinyl decals a subtle look. Of course, the rims can be converted for tubeless use.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are completely assembled by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction, it is important that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifelong guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this has not been caused by violence!

A spare spoke + nipple in all required spoke lengths in order to be able to repair the wheel at short notice even after accidents.
A free initial inspection of the wheel, in which the resulting work is completely free! Only shipping costs are charged.
A crash replacement promise. If your wheel is damaged due to force majeure, we will rebuild your wheel once. We grant 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge the material!
