The Newmen FADE hubs will also find many fans again. Again, you don't need to worry about adjusting the axial bearing play. The durable, double-sealed industrial bearings are stress-free and precisely pressed in at the factory. This further development has gained a high degree of user-friendliness. You can spend the time saved better on your favorite trail.
The design of the freewheel is completely different from the previous model. The goal was low noise. The result was the FADE ratchet system. 3 pawls engage in a new type of tooth profile. To increase durability, the diameter was enlarged and the individual pawls were short and wide. Thus, the resulting forces are distributed over a larger area.
Despite the relatively low weight, safety was not compromised. Better to use a little more material in neuralgic areas, like. E.g. at the transition between the brake disc and spoke holder than risking a defect.
rims
The carbon rims from Duke from France stand for excellent workmanship and low weight. Thanks to the SLS2 production technology developed by Duke, the latter could be reduced by around 10% compared to other rims, while at the same time increasing durability and stability. The use of high-modulus carbon fibers also improves the inherent damping, which benefits increased driving comfort. The modified structure also enables the unrestricted use of modern tubeless tires.

Impeller construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction, it is important that not only the concentricity is right, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to give a lifetime guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this is not caused by violence.
Furthermore, the following services are already included:
You get a universal wheel bag for all common sizes.
You get a replacement spoke with nipples in all required spoke lengths, so that you can repair the wheel at short notice after an accident.
You get a free initial inspection of the impeller, with the resulting work being completely free. Only shipping costs are charged.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
