Hubs
Switzerland is known for good chocolate, first-class cheese and miracles of precision engineering. The dedication to detail that these products produce can also be found in the DT Swiss 350 hubs. Above all, the love of mechanics is easy to determine. The tried-and-tested toothed pulley freewheel, which is provided with 18 grids, is extremely reliable and hardly has to shy away from the Swiss clockwork. The bearing technology with 2 bearings for freewheel and hub body is adapted to the loads that occur. The labyrinth sealing system with the grinding seals and the steel bearing rings ensures a long service life. Should service be required after tens of thousands of kilometers, the hubs can be dismantled and serviced within a few minutes thanks to the DT Swiss plug-in system.

Thanks to extensive FEM analyzes, the aluminum rims only contain as much material as is absolutely necessary at every point. They are connected by the SBWT® welding process. The rim is stabilized with a block during welding and then CNC machined to guarantee a seamless transition.
Wheel construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are completely assembled by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction, it is important that not only the concentricity is correct, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. The special care allows us to give a lifelong guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this has not been caused by violence!
