Lighter, stiffer, more precise and easier to maintain - these are the strengths of the newly launched DT Swiss 240 hubs. These properties were achieved through the Ratchet EXP technology. With this, the hubs not only get by with fewer components and thus lower weight and less wear, it also allows the bearing on the drive side to be placed significantly further out. The larger distance between the bearings results in a higher rigidity of the hub, a lower bearing load and thus greater durability. The stiffness on the hub body serves to distribute the load more evenly on the spokes. Driving and braking forces are transmitted even better from both spoke flanges to all spokes. Unilateral peak loads are prevented, which protects the hub, spokes and rim. The super reliable toothed disc freewheel system with its large contact surface and 36 locking points ensures extremely direct and reliable power transmission.

The carbon rims from Duke from France stand for excellent workmanship and low weight. Thanks to the SLS2 production technology developed by Duke, the latter could be reduced by around 10% compared to other rims, while at the same time increasing durability and stability. The use of high-modulus carbon fibers also improves the inherent damping, which benefits increased driving comfort. The modified structure also enables the unrestricted use of modern tubeless tires.

Impeller construction at R2-Bike
Our wheels are assembled entirely by hand by our wheel builders. During the entire construction, it is important that not only the concentricity is right, but also that the spoke tension is as even as possible. This special care allows us to give a lifetime guarantee against broken spokes, as long as this is not caused by violence.
Furthermore, the following services are already included:
You get a universal wheel bag for all common sizes.
You get a replacement spoke with nipples in all required spoke lengths, so that you can repair the wheel at short notice after an accident.
You get a free initial inspection of the impeller, with the resulting work being completely free. Only shipping costs are charged.
You get a crash replacement promise: If your wheel is damaged due to force majeure, we will rebuild it once. We grant a 100% discount on all labor costs and only charge for the material.
