WOLFTOOTH chainring oval 1-speed Drop-Stop LK 110 for Shimano GRX crank
Chainring optimized for Shimano's new GRX crank with the asymmetrical 110 millimetre GRX bolt circle. The oval chainring is available with 38, 42 and 46 teeth and Wolftooth recommends using its own 6 millimetre chainring bolts, which you can find in our store. Thanks to the drop-stop technology with the wide-narrow design of the teeth of the Wolftooth chainrings, they grip the chain particularly well and thus effectively prevent it from jumping off. The chainrings work best with a 10-speed, 11-speed or 12-speed chain. To avoid chainsucks or chaindrops, we recommend the use of Shimano GRX rear derailleurs, but in any case a damped rear derailleur (Shimano Shadow+, SRAM Type 2.0/3.0) or chain guide or a chain catcher.
The oval shape smoothes the power peaks during crank rotation. This gives you a smoother pedal stroke, especially on hills, and reduces muscle fatigue. The lower power peaks also reduce the strain on your knees.
Note: this version is not compatible with Shimano 12-speed chains (Shimano HG+)
